Pop a music CD into your computer, open Xandros File Manager(XFM), and scroll down the left pane to your CD or DVD drive. Click on the drive to select it, and you will see the audio tracks on your disk, displayed in the right pane.
To copy these files to MP-3 format, open a second Xandros File Manager window, and resize both windows so they can fit side-by-side on your screen. In the second XFM window, browse to an existing music folder, or create a new one, then in the first window, select all the tracks you want to convert by holding down the control key and clicking each file once. Upon clicking the last file, do not release the mouse button, but continue to hold it down, and drag the file to the music folder you have opened/created in the second XFM window. The Copy Audio Tracks dialogue opens, to allow you to select the format to copy to. Select the MP-3 option and click OK
Now you just wait for Xandros File Manager to work its magic....
The copying progress indicator appears as the files are being copied. In just a few minutes, it will close, and you will see that each of your selected tracks has been copied to the music folder, in MP-3 format, ready to play in Music Manager, or transfer to your portable player.
